Between the Old Swan and our sister hotel, Minster Mill over the road, there’s something for everyone: from nature walks and cycling, to tennis and croquet, to a whole mile of superb fishing banks.

Gardens

With access to 65 acres of magical gardens, wild-flower meadows, woodland and on the River Windrush, there's plenty to explore and ample places to relax in peace. The vegetable gardens supply the chef with seasonal fruit and vegetables.

Fishing

Fishing on the River Windrush is exceptionally good whatever your quarry or preferred method of angling and with a mile of private fishing banks, a range of species can be found.

Cycling

There are many bike rides from and around the Old Swan including three recommended routes ranging from 10 to 30 miles in our self-guided rides maps.

Pashley bicycles are available to hire by the half (£10 for four hours) or full day (£15 for eight hours) and include a helmet, lock and puncture repair kit.

Lawn sports & Tennis

Located in the grounds of Minster Mill, croquet, badminton and boules is available to all our guests. The equipment can be found at reception. A hard tennis court can be found next to Minster Mill with its own tennis pavilion featuring a table tennis table if you fancy something less strenuous.
